Following an interview with L-Tido, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has come forth to shed some light on his decade long beef with Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA.

‘THAT SONG GAVE ME SLEEPLESS NIGHTS’
When asked about the various beefs he had with other artists like Okmalumkoolkat, Prince Kaybee and Anatii, the Doc Shebeleza artist reveals that all those rivalries were just petty arguments that aren’t comparable to the “beef” he had with AKA.
“I think that’s the only real beef I ever had, all the others were quite stupid miscommunications, things that could have been fixed. But the AKA beef was quite bad”, the rapper shared.
In addition to this, Cassper shared that AKA’s diss track, Composure “messed” him up and gave him sleepless nights.
“Composure gave me sleepless nights. I use to sit and listen to the record and ask; ‘How does this ma know?’ AKA use to be the first person in think of, when I wake up, during that period”.
Cassper continues: “That song really messed me up, it also messed up a lot of relationships for me because I was so mad at everyone”, the Gusheshe artist shared.

CASSPER DETAILS BEEF WITH AKA
“I was mad at the guy who dropped it. Milkshake dropped it. I was mad at Anatii for producing the song. I was mad at the guy who shot the video. I was mad at the girls dancing in the video. I was also mad at the DJ’s who were playing the song in the clubs”.
Despite being extremely angry about the song, Cassper notes that he actually liked the song, and thought that it was good.
“I use to be so conflicted all the time because it was a nice song, but he was tearing me apart”, the artist shared.
According to Nyovest the beef with AKA allegedly started over his hit song Gusheshe. He says that he initially wanted Okmalumkoolkat to be a feature on the song but AKA also liked the song and insisted on being added to which Cassper denied.
