According to the George Herald, the local municipality has confirmed there will be a power outage in Wilderness and Die Duine on Friday 21 January.
The report said the blackout will take place from 09:00 to 16:00.
“There is a planned power outage for a portion of Wilderness, Die Duine, on Friday 21 January from 09:00 to 16:00 for the purpose of doing alterations to the electrical mains,” the report said.
“Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.
“Should circumstances prevent the work being carried out during the above-mentioned period; the work will be done on Monday 24 January from 09:00 to 16:00,” it added.
Staying with the Garden Route capital, Aulin Powell (21) was killed in an accident last week on Knysna Road. Powell will be laid to rest on Saturday, 15 January. The service will be broadcast live on Facebook from 10:00.
According to reports, he was on his way to his parent’s home in Le Vallia from work when his motorcycle collided with a Toyota Hilux bakkie.
Powell was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
