Several luxury cars were damaged when massive hailstones pelted down in Midrand and Johannesburg on Monday evening. The hailstones, larger than golf balls, pounded down with unprecedented force, causing significant damage to property and vehicles. Luxury car owners were particularly hard hit as the massive hailstones shattered windows and dented bodies and wreaked havoc on the high-end vehicles parked in the affected areas. The hailstorm struck several neighborhoods in Johannesburg, catching residents and motorists off guard. Eyewitnesses reported a surreal scene as the hailstorm descended, transforming the streets into a chaotic sea of bouncing ice.
