Another major burst pipe has been reported by Johannesburg Water this afternoon, Thursday, 12 October at Melville Koppies in Johannesburg. Johannesburg Water informed the residents that a team was attending to the major burst pipe at Melville Koppies.
Affected areas include Emmarentia and Greenside. There is no estimated time of completion at this stage, the entity cautioned the affected suburbs. Meanwhile, the entity recently reminded its customers about level-1 water restrictions that are currently in full force. The entity also reminded the residents about the importance of adhering to the water restrictions as supply challenges worsened.
