Johannesburg Water has reminded its customers about level-1 water restrictions that are currently in full force. The entity also reminded the residents about the importance of adhering to the water restrictions as supply challenges worsen. “It is critical to use water sparingly as water conservation remains a strong priority in the city, to ensure sustainable water supply,” Johannesburg Water cautioned.  Level-1 Water restrictions run from 1 September to 31 March, annually. The restrictions are due to increasing water consumption caused by warmer weather and lack of rain. Now more than ever, Johannesburg Water advised it is imperative that we change our habits when it comes to water use.
