The Gauteng Department of Education has been rocked by news of a high school teacher found in possession of drugs at Thoko Thaba Secondary School in Ekurhuleni.

According to the department, the teacher was found with a bag and a box containing an illicit substance.

The MEC says the incidentoccured in Valentine’s Day, but only came to light due a protest by disgruntled community members on Wednesday. He has pleaded with the community to allow the law to take its course.
