Orlando Pirates and football fans are sharing divided views as they react to leaked images of the club’s brand new 2023/24 season jersey.
The black and white Pirates home jersey set to be worn by Pirates next season has surfaced on social media as posted by Unplayable on Twitter.

Looking at the comments from many football lovers including those from the Sea Robbers family, they say Pirates will never win the Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs with this Adidas outfit.
PIRATES FANS UNIMPRESSED WITH LEAKED JERSEY
As posted by Tiyani Mabasa of Unplayable, the digital community is seemingly unimpressed with the design as it has a skull in the front.
However, some feel the big skull, representing Pirates’ signature of the crossbones or the Ghost means they will scare each and every opponent in the DStv Premiership and in the African continent.

The images first emerged on social media platforms on Friday morning but it seems some are lashing out at the German-based sports manufacturer, Adidas.
“𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗝𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗬? Orlando Pirates’ new home kit appears to have been leaked. Thoughts on it,” reads the tweet.

According to the leading veteran journalist Mabasa, this might be Pirates’ new Adidas home jersey but the fans are now looking at the previous season’s one and feel betrayed by the technical sponsor.
The design features a standout crossbones print across the front of the shirt, as well as the club’s badge, Adidas logo, and famous three stripes on the shoulders in white, and Vodacom sponsor in red.
Meanwhile, coached by Jose Riveiro will look to guide Pirates in their quest to retain the two trophies they last season.
