WWE Smackdown Live: Results, highlights and live stream for 28th November 2018

After last week’s disappointing over hyped edition of Smackdown, we’ve decided to lower out expectations for this week. However there are enough returns to get us excited, namely Becky Lynch and AJ Styles.

Smackdown GM Paige is in the ring and welcomes back Becky Lynch. She comes out to a huge pop from the crowd. Becky talks about how she’s ready to fight, and how she’s always been ready. Then she calls out Charlotte Flair, and Charlotte obliges. The crowd breaks into Becky chants, followed by Woooo chants. Some back and forth between Flair and Lynch. When things get too heated, Paige steps in and sets a title rematch for TLC…it will be a first ever women’s tables, ladders and chairs match! Mandy Rose, Sonya DeVille and the ICONIICS come out saying they are offended by Paige’s decision. The are followed by Naomi, Carmella, Lana and Asuka, they seem to have same beef with Paige. Paige is impressed and puts all the ladies in a battle royal for a spot in the now triple threat TLC match.

Backstage The Usos cut a promo ahead of their Tag Team match against The Bar. We also see The Bar and The Big Show from earlier, they upset Show and he punches out Cesaro, yeah that’s over…already.

Result: Jay Uso pins Cesaro after a Top Rope Splash to pick up the non title win for The Usos.

Backstage The New Day are making fun of The Miz for losing his match to a bunch of no names. Miz defends his bestie partnership with Shane McMahon.

We’re heading back to the ring now as the phenomenal one makes his way out. AJ Styles speaks on his loss to Daniel Bryan.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Rusev with Lana

Result: The match never gets started as Nakamura attacks the Bulgarian Brute before the bell rings.

After the break we’re back in the ring to celebrate Jeff Hardy’s 20th anniversary. Michael Cole is conducting the in ring interview. We get a great video recapping Jeff’s career so far. After the video the entire roster comes out to applaud Jeff.  Hardy gives an emotional speech, but alas here’s comes Samoa Joe from the back to ruin the celebrations. He criticizes Jeff’s past and second chances. Jeff challenge Joe to a fight, but Joe turns and leaves.

Kofi Kingston with The New Day vs The Miz

Result: Kofi wins after the Trouble in Paradise kick. 

After the break, Randy Orton is in the ring with his trophy from last week, Rey Mysterio’s mask. Randy brags about his actions till Rey Rey makes his way out. The two get into a brawl, and Rey hits the 619, but Orton eventually turns the tables.

Backstage The Miz catches up with Shane McMahon. He cuts a pretty funny promo about how he’s doing all the work trying to keep the team together.

Women’s #1 Contender Battle Royal

Result: Asuka wins a messy battle royal by last eliminating Sonya De Ville to earn a spot in the title match at TLC.
