WWE RAW: Review, live stream a

Following a chaotic Fastlane PPV last night, the stars of RAW will now turn their attention to making their name on the grandest stage of them all.

And speaking of attention…there’s a certain Animal in the building tonight who wants Triple H’s attention.

But first, The Shield are headed to the ring for their final address to the WWE Universe.

Roman Reigns takes the mic and speak to the crowd. He speaks on life being uncertain and thanks his brothers for granting him his wish for one last ride. Now it’s on to other business. Roman wants a singles match tonight. He says Dean Ambrose has his own business to take care off too, and wishes him luck. Then he wishes Seth Rollins good luck for WrestleMania, and the crowd starts a “slay the beast” chant. Roman gets a “burn it down chant going too”. They do the Shield fist salute one last time. Short and sweet farewell it seems. Roman and Dean leave, and Seth stays in the ring.

Seth starts to speak but is quickly interrupted by Paul Heyman. Heyman cuts his usual shtick. Seth returns the favour and interrupts Heyman, mocking Brock’s recent performances against Daniel Bryan and Finn Bálor. Heyman says in all those cases his opponent was replaced at the last minute. He then shows a video package of Brock Lesnar. After the video, Seth is attacked by Shelton Benjamin who takes him to suplex city! Wow, didn’t see that one coming!

Seth Rollins vs Shelton Benjamin

Result: Seth gets the pin following a curb stomp. Really good match here, and a reminder of how talented Shelton Benjamin is.

Intercontinental Title Match:
Finn Bálor (c) vs Bobby Lashley

Result: Bobby reclaims the IC title after interference by Lio Rush.

Backstage we get an interview with Baron Corbin. He has a one on one match with Roman later tonight.

Ronda Rousey is headed to the ring to address her actions as of later. She tells the crowd to take their applause and shove it. She tells the people they are all cowards just like Charlotte and Becky. This is much better work by Ronda as a heel. She’s way more believable when she’s threatening to kill people. Out comes Dana Brooke to challenge the champ. She cuts a passionate promo about not getting a chance.

Ronda Rousey vs Dana Brooke

Result: Ronda decimates Dana Brooke. She refuses to show us the armbar unless we pay $60 to watch her. Hah. Great stuff.

Aleister Black & Ricochet vs Bobby Roode & Chad Gable

Result: Black pins Gable after the Black Mass kick. After the match, The Revival lay out the NXT startups.

Next up is A Moment of Bliss with Alexa Bliss, she promises to reveal the host of this year’s WrestleMania.

Alexa Bliss takes the stage and hypes up the former WrestleMania hosts including Kim Kardashian, The Rock and The New Day, but says this year’s host out does them all, it is of course…herself!

Backstage Braun Strowman is about to give his thoughts on the SNL guests from last week, but suddenly an assistant comes out and says his car has arrived, Braun asks “What car?”. It appears as the Colin Jost has sent Braun a sports car as a friendship gift. Braun destroys the car (why???) and promises Yost he will see him in New York.

Ladies & Gentlemen…Elias.

Elias gets a good reaction from the crowd (it’s his hometown apparently). He’s interrupted by No Way Jose and his conga line. Elias deals with them accordingly.

We get a look at this week’s Hall of Fame inductees, Harlem Heat

Lacey Evans makes her way to the commentary table for the next match. Oh wait, there she leaves again.

Nia Jaxx with Tamina vs Natalya with Beth Phoenix

Result: Jaxx wins via DQ after Beth Phoenix attacks.

Backstage Sasha Banks and Bayley are waiting for Tamina and Nia, and attack them in the Gorilla Position.

In the parking garage, Batista has arrived with his own security team.

After the break, Triple H heads to the ring, and calls out Batista. He obliges and comes out to the entrance. They have some back and forth about what Batista wants and deserves. Triple H calls him and entitled movie star. Batista says he’s learned from two of the dirtiest players in the game. They threaten each other some more and Batista repeats “give me what I want”, which is a final match at WrestleMania…Triple H eventually agrees, but it will be a NO HOLDS BARRED match!

We’re back from another commercial break and Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is headed to the ring to address the hometown fans of Pittsburgh.

Kurt announces his retirement, and he will have his final match at WrestleMania. But tonight he will have one last match in his hometown.

Kurt Angle vs Apollo Crews

Result: Angle hits the Angle slam for an easy win.

Roman Reigns vs Baron Corbin

Result: Drew McIntyre viciously assaults Roman before the match can start.

Seth and Dean encourage Roman to see the trainer, and a furious Ambrose confronts Triple H saying he wants Drew in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Triple H gives him the match.

Falls Count Anywhere:
Dean Ambrose vs Drew McIntyre

Result: Drew wins a vicious match with a Claymore kick in the stands.

That’s it for RAW, we’ll see you on the blue brand tomorrow.
