The Bulls are in Australia for their third fixture of the 2018 edition of Super Rugby as they prepare to take on the Reds at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday.

In their two outings in the competition so far, John Mitchell’s men have won one and lost one after coming unstuck in their previous fixture at home at Loftus, when they hosted the rampant Lions – going down 49-35 in what was a try fest.

They had started their campaign on a positive note, disposing of the Jaguares on Week 2, in what was their opening fixture of the competition.

They come up against a side with an identical win-loss ratio, but who will be on more of a high having fared well in their home derby as they beat the Brumbies 18-10 at home.

Injury news

The visitors will be boosted by the return of recently capped Springbok, Warrick Gelant, who’s been deemed fit to start after coming in as a substitute in their previous outing against the Lions.

Regular skipper, Burger Odendaal is still out from a rib injury, meaning Handre Pollard will captain the side, while Johnny Kotze slots in at inside center with the Bok star moving back to his more familiar position of flyhalf.
