Senegal skipper Sadio Mane sends a special message to Egypt counterpart and former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.

Salah remains injured and could miss two of Egypt’s matches as they prepare to face Cape Verde in their final Group B encounter, Mane shares a message.

Mane says he is sorry for Egypt’s talisman, Salah, and that football comes with injuries and in his special message, he says the injury is beyond his control.

Salah and Mane used to play together for English Premier League giants, Liverpool, and Mane says, in his message that he feels sad for Salah.

MANE SENDS SPECIAL MESSAGE TO EGYPT’S SALAH

Salah sustained an injury that could prove to be a blow for the Pharaohs as he was injured during an Afcon encounter against Ghana.

The Egypt captain Salah was forced off injured on the brink of half-time in the Pharaohs’ 2-2 draw against Ghana on Thursday and Mane reacts to his injury setback.

In the wake of the injury, Salah could be ruled out for two Afcon matches, meaning the final group game against Cape Verde, and the round of 16 tie in case the Pharaohs make it through.

“I am sorry for him because unfortunately, it’s part of football,” Mane said in his special message to journalists about Salah after the Cameroon game per KingFut.

“He wants to help his team and achieve the win with his teammates, but the injury is beyond his control.

“It’s a part of football you have to deal with, and I understand it. I too got injured before the 2022 World Cup, so I feel sad for him, but that’s football.”

It’s now yet to be seen who will replace Salah in these two games, with the likes of Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Mahmoud Trezeguet, and Mostafa Fathi all on standby.

Fathi was the player who came on for Salah against Ghana, but it’s more likely expected that Zizo will start against Cape Verde in his preferred right-wing position.

Looking at a previous post, The South African reported that Egypt coach Rui Vitoria provided a crucial update on the Reds frontman, as Salah went off late in the first half of the Group B game in Abidjan after appearing to clutch the back of his left leg.

In the wake of the injury and a blow to Egypt, Mane sends a special message to the seasoned talisman.
