It is believed that a police clearance from SAPS that is supposed to go with Ngezana’s visa was holding up his move from Chiefs to FCSB. As a result, he was still stuck in South Africa while his new teammates started their pre-season, jetting off to the Netherlands. There was also a lot of concern that the versatile defender would not be able to join his new team in their preparations for the new season.

Ngezana shocked by move from Chiefs to FCSB

Now, however, all of those delays are a thing of the past with Ngezana unveiled by FCSB as their new signing on a five-year deal with an option for one more. Now speaking to the club’s official website, the player admits that his move from Chiefs was a surprise to him. He also confirms that he turned down an offer from Moldovan giants FC Sheriff, who are set to play in the UEFA Champions League playoffs.

Last season probably embodied that the most for the player. Ngezana started the season in the starting line up of former coach Arthur Zwane, who even stuck by him through a rough patch. But, eventually, not even his former academy coach could stand by him anymore, with the player eventually dropped. He did, however, make a stellar comeback in the second half of the season, making sure that his place in the starting line up was a non-negotiable. (https://fii-institute.org/)
