VIDEO: Bimenyimana still with Chiefs, set to stay?

Although striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana was widely expected to leave Kaizer Chiefs, he has notably still been seen with the team.

For quite some time, it’s been widely reported that Chiefs were open to selling Bimenyimana with a year still left on his contract.

Although he actually finished the league season as Chiefs’ top scorer, a few of those goals came from the penalty spot, while the forward mainly played off the bench during the latter parts of the season as he fell out of favour.

A couple of options have apparently been put on the table, but during the team’s new jersey unveiling on Tuesday, the towering striker was seen among the players and clearly remains part of the Chiefs squad … at least for now.

According to a recent report by iDiski Times, Chiefs were set to accept a bid from Wydad Atheltic Club for Bonfils-Caleb, but there have since been further reports to suggest that certain terms were not necessarily all tied up.

As the wait goes on, it’s also reported by Soccer Laduma that Egyptian giants Zamalek are also interested in the striker as well, and have gone so far as to submit a formal offer.

“Yes, it’s true that Zamalek want the player and that they have sent an offer to Chiefs,” a Soccer Laduma source commented earlier this month.
