A player like Souaibou Marou has been branded about as an imminent exit, with the Cameroonian striker thought to be accompanied compatriot Bienvenu Eva Nga.

Pirates preparing for exits

Both of the strikers have had very little impact since joining Pirates, with Eva Nga joining from Chippa United at the beginning of the season, while Marou entered the Buccaneers ship from his native. Much was expected of Marou having been part of a Cameroon squad that featured many players playing abroad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He is now thought to be available for transfer in the current transfer window.

The duo may be joined by more players out the Pirates door, and one of those players could be utility star Sandile Mthethwa. Mthethwa was a key player for the Buccaneers as they went on to claim the Nedbank Cup last season, with many seeing the important role of the player as potentially setting him up for a greater future at the club in the current season. However, that has not transpired and he has found himself falling down the pecking order again.

TS Galaxy and SuperSport United interested in Mthethwa

Mthethwa has featured mainly in cup games of Pirates, including their failed CAF Champions League exploits and is now believed to be available for loan according to KickOff.com

“There is a possibility of Mthethwa going to TS Galaxy on loan this January, There is also huge interest from SuperSport United.” Said the source to same publication.

Where to next?

It would appear that TS Galaxy would be the better option for Pirates, as the club would not be in competition with Pirates to get into the CAF Champions League places on the log, unlike SuperSport United. The final decision, however, could rest with Mthethwa himself.
