Galaxy hitman out on R3k bail for property damage – Report

TS Galaxy hitman Thamsanqa Gabuza has been granted bail of R3000 after he was reportedly found guilty of damage to property.

The South African understands that TS Galaxy hitman Thamsanqa Gabuza has been slapped with a bail of R3 000 for damage to property on Wednesday.

Media reports surfaced in the past few days that the former Bafana Bafana hitman was set to appear in the Alexandra Magistrates Court.

This publication understands that the lanky hitman made a brief appearance in the Alexandra magistrate’s court on Wednesday for malicious damage to property. 

Following his appearance, it appears that the former Orlando Pirates star, Gabuza pleaded for a lesser bail as he was represented by his layer.

Sunday World reports that the 36-year-old Gabuza managed to come up with the money to secure his freedom.

Additionally, state prosecutor advocate Tshiego Deka is said to have told the court that the state had no objection to the Ladysmith-born striker’s plea to be released on bail.

While the prosecutor wanted Gabuza to fork out R5 000 bail, his lawyer Themba Ngobeni argued that his client could only afford R2 000.

“It is not yet month-end and he is married with children. The wife is not working. He can only pay R2 000, which is readily available,” said Ngobeni per the report.

GALAXY HITMAN TO RETURN TO COURT IN DECEMBER

Magistrate Peggy Senne set the Rockets hitman’s bail at R3 000 and he was told by the magistrate not to make any contact with a witness and go to her place of residence.

It is reported that the man also known as ‘Gandaganda’ appeared from the holding cells and walked up to the stand.

“We do not know the full details of what happened. We were told that the incident was about a cell phone that was broken. We do not know how it was broken,” Ngobeni said.

“My client reserves his right to remain silent and will only comment when we get the full details.”

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the former SuperSport United star handed himself over to police at the Bramley police station on Tuesday and spent the night in the station’s holding cells.

Gabuza was also ordered to attend all court hearings – his next court date has been scheduled for December 11 to allow for further investigations.
