Orlando Pirates latest: ALL the games Lorch will miss!

Orlando Pirates have suspended star attacker Thembinkosi Lorch effective immediately following his sentencing on Tuesday afternoon.

Lorch was handed a suspended jail sentence of three years for being found guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend Nokuphiwa Mathithibala.

The incident happened in September 2020 where Lorch was arrested and later released on R2000 bail.

Now, following the conclusion of the matter at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court, Pirates issued an official statement confirming Lorch’s suspension.

In the statement, Pirates said Lorch will be suspended from all club activities until 12 December 2023.

ORLANDO PIRATES TO BE WITHOUT LORCH FOR THESE LEAGUE GAMES…

Pirates will be without Lorch for Saturday’s visit to Richards Bay FC at King Zwelithini Stadium. Kick-off is at 15:30.

Lorch will then miss the original Soweto derby against Moroka Swallows on Tuesday, 5 December at Orlando Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:30.

The final game that Lorch will miss is against TS Galaxy at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 9 December. Kick-off is at 20:00.
