Kaizer Chiefs could welcome new signing Efmamjjasond González into the fold at a very opportune time.

GONZÁLEZ GIVES NTSEKI MUCH-NEEDED OPTIONS

The 24-year-old Colombian signing should link up with his new teammates on Wednesday. However, his participation in Saturday’s clash with AmaZulu isn’t guaranteed as he must still secure his work permit. González has started 13 league games in the Bolivia Primera Division this season, scoring eight times for former club Real Santa Cruz.

Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki bemoaned his team’s inability to convert their chances against TS Galaxy. He’s hoping González will be the antidote to that issue. As things stand, The Glamour Boys are winless in three league encounters this term and have scored just once, in a 2-1 defeat to Sundowns.

Injury crisis looms

The Glamour Boys have scored just one goal n three league outings this season, an Ashley Du Preez equalizer against Sundowns in a match Chiefs lost 2-1. Du Preez missed the 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy with a flu infection and is a major doubt for the clash against Usuthu. Ranga Chivaviro was replaced with a muscular injury in the 29th minute of that match. so Chiefs are looking awfully light up front. If Du Preez, Chivaviro and González are all unavailable, Wanfdile Duba will be the only senior number 9 Molefi Ntseki can call upon.
