SuperSport defender wants the club to sign Chiefs outcast

With the development that Kaizer Chiefs outcast Khama Billiat is training with SuperSport United, skipper, and defender Onismor Bhasera shares his advice.

Bhasera urges the club, SuperSport to sign the talented Chiefs outcast, Billiat as he is a free agent.

The Zimbabwe skipper, Bhasera says this as former Chiefs star, Billiat is training with coach Gavin Hunt’s troops since their return on Thursday.

Billiat is without a club since leaving the Naturena-based Chiefs at the end of the previous term and has been training with SuperSport with the hope of signing with them.

As a former Chiefs player himself, Bhasera says Billiat wants to keep fit as he continues to search for a club since leaving Amakhosi.

“Yeah, he was training with us. That’s what I can give you. He is keeping fit. I spoke to him. I think even before we close, he wanted to keep fit,” Bhasera says per Sowetan.

“Of course, you don’t expect him to be the Khama he was because he has been sitting at home and he is a bit rusty.

“But I think any club in the world now would love to have the quality of Khama.

“I don’t know what will happen. We put our fingers crossed that if anything happens, he will join us. But right now, Khama is just training with us to keep fit.”

BHASERA ON HAVING BILLIAT AT THEIR TRAINING

The seasoned left-back, Bhasera adds that he still believes the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns and Chiefs attacker, Billiat will be a good addition to the three-time PSL champions.

At the same time, Bhasera also reacts to their Nedbank Cup Last 32 draw as they will face Cape Town City, he states that he is happy with it.

“To have him at the club everyone here will love and to have the quality like Khama, trust me, we will love to have him around,” adds the SuperSport defender.

“It will be a good addition for us if it happens that he signs on the dotted line, he is a quality player.

“Very happy with the draw against a very good team, which will give us a good game. They are doing very well right now.

“It’s not going to be easy, but we will fight to make sure we are in the next round.”
