Mamelodi Sundowns have signed Lesiba Nku and Junior Mendieta already, and now they’ve almost sealed a switch for a Brazilian star.

Mamelodi Sundowns are soon set to unveil another big signing, this time from Brazil.

The Brazilians will be challenging for silverware on a number of fronts and are especially desperate to win the CAF Champions League.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS TO UNVEIL RIBEIRO COSTA

They have already announced the signings of Lesiba Nku from Marumo Gallants and Junior Mendieta from Stellenbosch. Now, as reported by iDiski Times, the champions have wrapped up the signing of the Brazilian midfielder Lucas Ribeiro Costa. Now, FARPost understands that the left-footer landed in South Africa on Tuesday 4 July. They believe he’ll be unveiled this week.

He joins from Belgian outfit SK Beveren where he played 43 matches, netting13 goals and providing 10 assists.

SUNDOWNS’ DEPARTURES SO FAR

Sundowns have parted ways with Andile Jali, Haashim Domingo and Lesedi Kapinga. The club could also wave goodbye to two former Cape Town City stars Lyle Lakay and Surprise Ralani imminently. Pitso Mosimane, meanwhile, is reportedly keen on signing Peter Shalulile and Gaston Sirino.
