Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompho Kekana has opened up on the glaring Kaizer Chiefs improvements he sees this season.

According to Kekana, the Amakhosi have improved in a number of different departments under Molefi Ntseki and this was visible in their dramatic MTN8 semi-final loss against the Brazilians.

Kekana explains how Kaizer Chiefs are improving

“I must say I’m impressed with Kaizer Chiefs’ performance the whole match and it was so unlike them to play like that against Mamelodi Sundowns in I don’t know how many years.” Kekana told the Sundowns podcast the Pitch-Side as quoted by KickOff.

“To see them coming out of that last line to push a little bit higher up the field, I think that was impressive. The other thing, the midfield of Chiefs didn’t back off against the midfield of Sundowns.”

In other news, Orlando Pirates legend Joseph Kamwendo believes he’s ready to coach in South Africa.

The former Buccaneers midfielder, who represented the club between 2007 and 2011, has confirmed his desire to coach in the Premier Soccer League.

Joseph Kamwendo has obtained his necessary coaching licences and is currently coaching back home in the Malawi top flight at Bangwe All Stars.

“Whether it’s as an assistant coach at a Premiership side or I can start as a head coach at a Motsepe Foundation side. I am well qualified to coach there.” Joseph Kamwendo told SoccerLaduma.

“I know and respect the requirements of coaching in South Africa. So I had to prepare myself first before saying I am ready for that.

“Now, I can say ‘I am ready’. I would be very happy if I can be given the chance at my former team Orlando Pirates but I wouldn’t mind coaching any other team.”
