Talk about swift business. The details surrounding Mamelodi Sundowns and Marcelo Allende’s multimillion rand deal are incredible!

The 24 year old midfielder completed a massive move from Chilean side Club Deportivo Magallanes to Masandawana in 2022.

How long did the R51 million transaction take to get over the line? A mere 15 minutes thanks to the impressive new transfer platform ‘Transfer Room’!

Mamelodi Sundowns signed Allende in 15 minutes

“When I sat down with Mamelodi Sundowns, they told me what they were looking for and I presented the profile of Marcelo Allende,” Magallanes owner Cristian Ogalde said as quoted by FarPost.

“Two days later, they already had all the information about the player. They had also verified everything I told them about him.

“I believe it was an amazing opportunity for Mamelodi Sundowns and ourselves to meet. This was thanks to the TransferRoom Summit. TransferRoom has a great added value for us because our country is far away.

“In a mere 15 minutes, Sundowns secured the talented playmaker for a staggering US$3 million [R56 million today’s rate], marking a historic moment for both clubs,” the publication added.

We want to be the best – Mokwena

“I spent some time in Brazil in the off-season and during the break in early parts of January, what we’ve done is incredible, you go to Brazil [and] they speak, ‘Ow! You are the Mamelodi Sundowns coach’,” Rhulani Mokwena said as quoted by Goal.

“The first thing they talk about is the type of football we’re playing at almost every single club. You go to Fluminense, they ask ‘How do you also get the team to play like that?’

“You go to Flamengo, you go to Vasco, Botafogo and they also say ‘unbelievable’. They follow Mamelodi Sundowns, it’s incredible,”

“If the team has that type reach only based on performances on the pitch you can just imagine we scale into the Club World Cup space how much potential does this football club have.

“So it’s the ambition of the club and it’s one we have to work very, very hard to try to reach but for sure with the quality that Mamelodi Sundowns have, the support we get from the club it’s a possibility for sure,”
