MAMELODI SUNDOWNS EXPELLED FROM IKAMVA

Sundowns signed Spurs’ 12-year-old superstar Hlumile “Messi” Tshaka last week. The event has clearly left the Urban Warriors furious.

According to SABC Sports’ Mazola Molefe, Spurs sent a letter to Sundowns. The brief informed Kabo Yellow that its scouts are no longer welcome at Ikamva (Spurs’ famed academy).

THE SKY IS NOT AT IKAMVA

“Sundowns is currently a force in SA football and has built a reputation of the highest standard,” Spurs said in the letter.

“The incredible resources that they have can be used to scout young players from every corner of this country.

“Our relationship with Sundowns over the years has been incredibly strong hence our surprise that at no stage where we contacted by them to inform us of their interest in our players,” the club added.

“When we wrote to them stating our concern almost 2 months ago, and again a week ago, after the recruitment of 12-year-old, Hlumile Tshaka, we did not even receive an acknowledgement of our communication to them.

“This is not the same Sundowns we have become accustomed to working with over the years. The Sky is the limit! The Sky is not at Ikamva!” the club concluded.
