Despite being a long-standing Kaizer Chiefs transfer target, Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly completed the signing of Junior Mendieta!

The Stellenbosch star has opted for a move to the Brazilians after his stellar PSL campaign!

And now the latest reports suggest, Mamelodi Sundowns have won the race to sign Mendieta!

“SABC Sport can reveal Stellenbosch FC talisman Junior Mendieta has become champions Mamelodi Sundowns’ latest signing.” the publication reported.

“The Argentine midfielder is expected to join the Brazilians next season after the two clubs concluded his transfer on a four-year deal following fruitful talks that began several weeks ago.”

In other news, DR Congo star midfielder Fabrice Ngoma is open to joining Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next season.

The talented midfielder has previously been linked with a move to the Glamour Boys however his long-term contract at Al Hilal was a major stumbling block in the past.

The good news however is that the 29-year-old DR Congo international is now a free agent!

“Sources suggest that Kaizer Chiefs have been alerted to Ngoma’s availability. And if they are still interested in his services, they have the opportunity to secure his signature.” a Citizen report read.

“The club will need to make a decision on whether to pursue the player or explore other options for their squad.

“A source close to the matter revealed that Ngoma is keen on joining Chiefs, considering them to be his preferred choice.”
