Helsingborg manager Stuart Baxter is keen on an underrated South African striker who hasn’t been too fortunate when it comes to finding clubs.
Wayde Lekay could well be on his way to Europe to link up with Baxter who confirmed to SABC Sport his need for a natural No.9.
Baxter, though, admitted that the delay to Lekay’s work permit is a worrying factor as Helsingborg is in urgent need.
“We only have one number 9 and we thought we could get Wayde in, but his work permit is going to take a while. So, we are looking at other options for him to be closer and get used to Swedish football,” Baxter said.
