Makarati currently turns out in the heart of defence for Zimbabwean giants Dynamos FC. His performance for the club in the Zimbabwean league have gone on to catch the eye of both Pirates and Swallows, who are not both believed to be ready to go on a tug-of-war for the player’s signature. Further complicating the situation, is the claims that the 29-year-old is also attracting more interest from other clubs, and if the two Soweto giants don’t speed things up, they run the risk of losing out on him according to Soccer-Laduma

Makarati of interest from Pirates and Swallows

“He (Makarati) is attracting a lot of interest since the close of the season. I know there are two clubs in South Africa who are interested in him. First it was Orlando Pirates and now Moroka Swallows have also shown interest in him. The thing is we didn’t know whether Pirates wanted to give him a trial or they wanted to sign him straight away. And now there is Moroka Swallows,” said one source to the same publication.
