Soweto derby is NOT the only DStv Premiership match this weekend!

You’d be forgiven for thinking that Saturday’s Soweto derby is the only DStv Premiership fixture to be played this weekend.

While Saturday’s Soweto derby will hog the headlines – and rightly so – it’s not the only DStv Premiership fixture to be played this weekend.

Orlando Pirates will host Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium in a clash which could well go a long way to determining which club finishes the season higher in the standings.

Heading into the clash, which will kick off at 15:30, Orlando Pirates find themselves in fifth place in the log with 30 points after 19 matches.

Rivals Kaizer Chiefs are sixth on 29 points after the same number of matches played.

The Buccaneers won the head-to-head clash earlier in the season 1-0 thanks to an Evidence Makgopa 20th-minute winner.

Did you know that … Orlando Pirates last completed a league Soweto derby double over Kaizer Chiefs in the 2008/2009 season under coach Ruud Krol. It is still the only time the Buccaneers have beaten Amakhosi home and away in the same PSL season.

The match will be screen live on SuperSport channel 202 and SABC 1.

At the time of publishing tickets are still available for purchasing and range from R100 to R170.

Meanwhile, there are a full-house of seven other matches to look forward to this weekend, as detailed below:
