RIP: AmaZulu confirms the passing Bongi Ntuli

Bongi Ntuli recently got married to AmaZulu FC CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu, but their marriage was sadly short-lived.

AmaZulu have confirmed that Bongi Ntuli has passed away on Sunday.

The striker played only six games this season in the DStv Premiership.

“It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you of the untimely passing of our beloved centre-forward and loyal servant, Bongi Ntuli,” AmaZulu said in a statement on Sunday afternoon.

“Ntuli was (very recently) diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, which metastasized and ultimately led to his death at the Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital, in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.

“May his beautiful soul rest in eternal peace. The club requests privacy and patience be granted his family and friends at this difficult time,” the club said.

Bongi Ntuli made 142 appearances for Usuthu in six this season.

The 32-year-old also featured for Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Umoya, and Golden Arrows.
