Former Orlando Pirates attacker Gabadinho Mhango agreed to all the terms and was on the verge of joining Kaizer Chiefs but the deal fell through at the last minute. Now he’s a Swallows player!

According to SoccerLaduma and their sources, Mhango was on track for a medical with Chiefs but the club suddenly informed Mhango’s camp that they wouldn’t be signing him. SoccerLaduma’s sources reveal that the 30-year-old Malawian attacker was sent for a medical, despite the club’s statements that they weren’t interested in the former AmaZulu man.
Mhango’s business manager Mike Makaab confirmed as much, saying the player has been sent for a medical only for them to be notified that Kaizer Chiefs weren’t proceeding with a deal.

Moroka Swallows entered the negotiation table at this stage, upon hearing that Mhango was available. The Dube birds learned that no deal with Kaizer Chiefs had been struck so they tabled their own offer which was accepted. The rest, as they say, is history. Just another quiet day in the PSL!
