Kaizer Chiefs skipper Itumeleng Khune has been welcomed back to Naturena ahead of the Soweto Derby with Orlando Pirates.

Khune is looking sharp

As spotted on Football SA’s Facebook account, Khune has been keeping in shape solo, away from the squad. The image below was captured on Monday, showing the goalkeeper going through his paces and getting some cardio under the belt. It looks as though he’s been using his time wisely.

KAIZER CHIEFS GEAR UP FOR THE SOWETO DERBY

You can check out the latest Soweto Derby news with us. Meanwhile, there’s a throwback to Benni McCarthy magic for Orlando Pirates against Amakhosi. Also, have you heard what Wandile Duba has to say about the occasion? The youngster broke Chiefs’ goal-scoring duck for the calendar year with his match-winning screamer against Golden Arrows. The signs all point to the 19-year-old taking his place in the starting XI against Pirates. That is if he passes a fitness test. Although Khune is unlikely to start, his presence in the dressing room is undoubtedly a huge morale boost for the group.
