*Worst-kept secret: Siyethemba Sithebe is set to join Kaizer Chiefs from AmaZulu in a long-rumoured signing that would be the biggest transfer of the January window

“Sithebe gave the club an opportunity to place their offer but the new deal wasn’t convincing compared to what Kaizer Chiefs offered, especially with his age, players want to be secured after football, He had to look at his age and future, as he is not getting any younger. If Usuthu gave Sithebe a proper deal, he would’ve rejected a move to Amakhosi,” a club insider has revealed to Soccer-Laduma.

The DStv Premiership season resumes in mid-February, with Sundowns currently enjoying a 14-point lead at the top of the standings.
