Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahli Saudi Club FC faced a familiar face in former Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas!

The two coaches faced off in a crunch Saudi Arabian first division clash on Saturday night.

Many will remember the Italian mentor from his short stint at the Glamour Boys in 2018.

Solinas took charge of just 20 Amakhosi games, including a 1-1 draw against Pitso Mosimane’s Mamelodi Sundowns!

Mosimane’s Al Ahli looked dead-on course for another victory after heading into the final eight minutes of the match with a 2-0 lead over Solinas’ Al Faisaly.

Two goals in five minutes however meant Al Fasialy clawed their way back into the tie, to hold the log leaders to a 2-2 draw!

Pitso Mosimane held by ex Kaizer Chiefs rival

The draw could have serious implications on Pitso Mosimane’s league title charge. Al Ahli still sit top of the log however second placed Al Alkhdoud are three points behind them with a game-in-hand and a far superior goal difference! There’s now just six matches to go for Al Ahli.

Mduduzi Shabalala left Kaizer Chiefs fans in awe with a silky skill on Saturday evening at the FNB Stadium.

It was a disappointing night all in all for the Glamour Boys after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Marumo Gallants.

Nonetheless, Amakhosi fans took to social media to admire a piece of skill used by rising star Mduduzi Shabalala.

His confidence is growing in leaps and bounds in the top flight, and once he brings out the tricks and flicks, Shabalala becomes very difficult to defend against.
