Pitso Mosimane to Kaizer Chiefs is the dream move on every Amakhosi fan’s mind. Here is the latest update regarding this possible sensational deal.

Cavin Johnson’s time at Kaizer Chiefs is fast running out, with the Amakhosi hierarchy set to appoint a new permanent coach at the end of the season.

Furthermore, Mosimane will be a free agent during this time, which presents the Soweto giants with their best chance of hiring “Jingles” yet. The latest scoop coming out of Naturena makes for interesting reading…

PITSO MOSIMANE TO CHIEFS – STILL POSSIBLE BUT LESS LIKELY

Mosimane is one of the players shortlisted to take over the Chiefs’ hottest at the end of the 2023/24 PSL season.

In fact, for the past few months he was identified by the Motaungs as a priority target. However, recent proceedings have seen a big change take place. He is no longer the frontrunner for the job with a surprise candidate taking the lead.

“There are many [challenging] factors about Pitso Mosimane and Manitoba Mngqithi and that’s why they are intensifying their talks with Raul (Caneda). He was actually one of the first five on the original shortlist and they have been talking about him for some time now and he has overtaken Pitso on the priority list,” the insider stated on SoccerLaduma.

Therefore, Caneda is now the leading candidate for the new permanent Amakhosi head coach next season.

JINGLES STILL IN THE RUNNING

There is still hope, Amakhosi. Although he is no longer the main priority, management are still interested in his services.

Therefore, if the Caneda deal falls through, Amakhosi could still try to lure Mosimane. He is still on their shortlist of candidates, and management are well aware of his achievements. Moreover, he was their initial priority target. After all, the original plan was to have Johnson finish the season and Mosimane take over at the end of the season.
