We’ve seen so many events like this one at Orlando Pirates and football across the globe: A key player losing his place in the team due to contract talks.

VINCENT PULE DISAPPEARS FROM ORLANDO PIRATES

Having made a long-awaited return from a long-term on 15 May last year, Pule quickly became a regular feature before disappearing again. Why so? His contract situation is undoubtedly the issue. We’ve seen this happen at Pirates every single season.

As previously reported by The South African website in November last year, Pule reportedly signed a new deal but the club never announced the decision as expected.

Additionally, Pule’s last selection was in February against Kaizer Chiefs, and he has never been seen on the field since. Is he on his way out in June? Knowing Pirates, that outcome is possible.

A superbly talented Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder could end up at Chiefs or Pirates. The deal could occur in the next transfer window.

With the arrivals of Teboho Mokoena, Bongani Zungu, Marcelo Allende, and Sipho Mbule, the 28-year-old Lebogang Maboe has fallen down the midfield hierarchy.
