Pirates star couldn’t see axe hanging over his head

We all thought it was goodnight on his Orlando Pirates dream – but Terrence Dzvukamanja was just set on his work and helping the team.

Orlando Pirates fans had given up on Terrence Dzvukamanja, but the Zimbabwean striker was just getting ready to meet his opportunity.

READY TO LEAVE ORLANDO PIRATES

Speaking to the media in January, Dzvukamanja’s agent Mike Makaab said the 28-year-old was starting to pack his bags…

“Look, Terrence is obviously not in the plans of Orlando Pirates,” Maakab told FARPost.

“So we are looking for opportunities that will suit the player. And make sure he gets back to playing football.

“We looking to move Terrence away from Pirates in the next coming two weeks. Hopefully, that can materialise,” Makaab concluded.

THE TURN AROUND

According to the former Bidvest Wits star from Zimbabwe’s town of Chegutu, he was not conscious of his Pirates future. Instead, the 29-year-old was all about preparing for his chance.

“I wasn’t aware of anything, I was just hearing from people that there are rumours that are trending that I might leave the club but I wasn’t aware,” said Dzvukamanja via FARPost.

“For me I wasn’t thinking about playing to secure my contract because it’s ending, for me it was just about putting the hard work and helping the team,” the Pirates number nine concluded.
