Orlando Pirates are reportedly set to complete the signing of a blockbuster African striker ahead of next season!

Orlando Pirates are reportedly closing in on a big name African signing!
The Buccaneers have tabled an offer for 23-year-old Congolese striker Guy Mbenza.

Mbenza has featured for the likes of Wydad Casablanca, Cercle Brugge and Royal Antwerp.
Most recently, the lethal attacker scored 10 goals and earned four assists for Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al Tai!
Reports suggest Mbenza is due to touchdown in South Africa in the coming days to conclude negotiations with Orlando Pirates!

“Pirates were offered a younger option in Mbenza. And while I am not sure if he has signed yet, Pirates have tabled an offer for him.” a source told Citizen.
“He should be in the country soon to conclude the deal. If he signs, he will link up with his new teammates.
“And then the coaches will decide who they keep and loan out once they have seen all their strikers together.”
In other news, Orlando Pirates are set to jet out to Spain for their upcoming pre-season camp.
The Buccaneers reported for duty last week at the High-Performance Centre in Tshwane. The players were medically assessed and next travel to Rustenburg where physical training begins!
José Riveiro and his squad will be based in Marabella from July 9 to July 21, 2023 for their pre-season camp.
In Spain, Orlando Pirates will face Maccabi Tel Aviv, Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle and local Spanish second tier side UD Las Palmas.
Other teams that will be camped in Marbella include Bournemouth, Charlton Athletic, Al Ain FC, Espanyol, Chelsea’s under-18s and more!
