Orlando Pirates were the Premier Soccer League champions in the 2000/01 season, thanks to Gordon Igesund‘s coaching talent, wits, and experience. As they say, he could not do it without his players though.

Chatting in his Untold Stories series on Soccer Laduma, the former Santos, Manning Rangers, and Orlando Pirates coach mentioned some of the players that helped his success at various clubs.
At Bucs, the Durban coach revealed that his job was made a pleasure by the likes of Thabo “Jah Man” Mngomeni in central midfield, William Okpara in the goal, and his two strikers Pollen “Trompies” Nldanya as well as Jerry “Legs of Thunder” Sikhosana.”

‘At Orlando Pirates, I had Thabo Mngomeni, William Okpara, Pollen Ndlanya, and Jerry Sikhosana who all had the talent and charisma to thrive in the big matches,” Igesund said via Soccer Laduma.
