Speaking to iDiski Times’ leading reporter Lorenz Kohler in a recent interview edition, Maswanganyi revealed how the surprise move became a reality.
“I didn’t know anything about it until the last minute until I was told to come here, and I was so happy!” the Tembisa-born star said.
“My agent, Steve [Kapeluschnik], called me in the morning and asked me what I thought about Pirates, and I told him I want to go there.
“He told me to think about it, which I did over two days. I called my mom first and then Arnold Ranokoko [mentor],” the Pirates star added.
Meanwhile, the Maswanganyi, who previously played for the Stars of Africa Academy and Académica de Coimbra in Portugal, is enjoying a break before the CAF Champions League clash against Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana on the 17th.
