According to iDiski Times, Edmilson Dove is back from the groin injury he suffered during Amakhosi’s pre-season match away to Yanga SC.

Dove’s absence has somehow impacted how Chiefs’ defence as Molefi Ntseki has been forced to pair new signings Given Msimango and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe at centre-back.

Nonetheless, the two defenders are slowly gelling, but perhaps Dove’s presence would have made it a little easier for them.

But Dove is now back, although he could find himself having to fight for a place in the starting line-up with S’fiso Hlanti at left-back.

Dove is currently with the Mozambique national team for their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin on Saturday.

KAIZER CHIEFS BOLSTERED BY THE RETURN OF INTERNATIONAL DEFENDER

“I had a groin injury but now I’m back at training,” said Dove.

“It [being back on the pitch] has been great man, this is something that we love doing, and when you find yourself not being able to do it for such a long time, it’s frustrating.

“I mean I’m just happy to be back with the gents and just getting stuck in there and I’m hoping to be back with the team camping and traveling and obviously back at playing again.”
