Thembinkosi Lorch has opened up on his blockbuster move to Mamelodi Sundowns from rivals Orlando Pirates.

The 30-year-old former PSL Player of The Season’s move to the Brazilians was confirmed by the Buccaneers on Friday night!

Lorch opens up on Mamelodi Sundowns move

“I always wanted to play for a team like Sundowns. I’m happy to be here and I’m looking forward to see the guys. I am Thembinkosi Lorch and I’m proud to be yellow.” – Lorch told the Mamelodi Sundowns media department.

“Thembinkosi Lorch is to leave Orlando Pirates Football Club after a discussion between the Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza and the Mamelodi Sundowns hierarchy.” an official club statement read.

“The Club thanks “Nyoso” for his immense contribution by adding another page in the history of the Club.We wish him and his family well in his future sporting pursuit.”

Lorch joins an elite list of players who made the switch from black to yellow! The list includes icons like Teko Modise, Lebohang Mokoena, Linda Buthelezi, Gift Leremi, Oupa Manyisa and Tyren Arendse

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Ngezana has returned back to Romania following a brief holiday in South Africa.

The FCSB defender has been linked with a blockbuster move to French Ligue 1 side Lorient in recent weeks.

This comes after a string of promising performances for Romanian giants FCSB following his move to the club at the beginning of the season.

According to reports, FCSB rejected a R105 million offer for Ngezana from Lorient.

While the negotiations drag on, the Kaizer Chiefs academy graduate has already returned back to Romania and is preparing for tomorrow’s match against UTA Arad.

According to SoccerLaduma, Siyabonga Ngezana has safely returned back to Romania and is preparing for Monday’s Romanian Liga 1 clash against UTA Arad.

FCSB currently lead the way on the log standings with 44 points from 21 matches.
