Orlando Pirates legend unsure what Royal AM future holds

Royal AM have a tough decision to make regarding the one Orlando Pirates legend on their books as the end of the season is fast approaching.

Happy Jele joined Royal AM on a short-term deal in January, and this was months after being clubless following his departure from Pirates in 2022.

Now, with his deal coming to an end, Royal AM are yet to indicate as to whether or not Jele will form part of the club’s structures next season.

At 36, Jele is in the twilight of his career, and Royal AM understand that they will have to tread carefully when deciding whether or not he stays.

As things stand, Jele is injured, and with the extent of his injury still unknown, this could play a major role when Royal AM eventually decide his fate.

Jele said he’s working on his own in an attempt to step up his recovery, adding that he’s also working on something, perhaps suggesting preparing for life after football.

ORLANDO PIRATES LEGEND UNSURE OF ROYAL AM FUTURE

“I don’t know, I can’t predict the future,” said Jele to iDiski Times.

“So far, I’m working on my own, working for Royal AM and some of the things working on my side. So, I don’t know what is going to happen, I can’t predict the future.

“Having said that, there is something I’m working on,” added Jele.

JELE HASN’T REALLY HAD THE BEST OF STARTS WITH ROYAL AM

Jele hasn’t really had the best of starts to his career with Royal AM after having featured just twice across all competitions since he joined.

His latest appearances was against Kaizer Chiefs last weekend but he lasted 23 minutes on the pitch before being stretchered off the pitch through injury.
