Orlando Pirates could exact revenge on Kaizer Chiefs with the Bucs looking set to steal two of Amakhosi’s targets.

Chiefs have beaten Pirates to the punch in terms of reportedly securing the signatures of Pule Mmodi and Ranga Chivaviro.

However, now it is the Bucs who could return the favour. They have just taken the lead for two of Amakhosi’s targets.

PIRATES TAKE THE LEAD OVER CHIEFS FOR TWO KEY TARGETS

The Bucs have made progress on two players who are also being monitored by Amakhosi.

“Behind the scenes, Pirates are talking to a few players that the club is hoping to sign and there is progress regarding Karim Kimvuidi and Rowan Human from Maritzburg United,” the source stated on SoccerLaduma.

Both players have recently attracted interest from Amakhosi and the Bucs.

However, it is the Bucs who lead the way for both players.

The Buccaneers have been quite in relation to their Soweto neighbours, Chiefs.

Pirates have secured Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi and Siphelo Baloni. In contrast, Amakhosi have already signed Given Msimango, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe while they have reportedly signed Mduduzi Mdantsane, Mmodi and Chivaviro.

LESS CHANGES NEEDED AT THE BUCS

If something is not broken, don’t fix it.

So, the Bucs have tasted tremendous success under Jose Riveiro, winning the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup while finishing second in the DStv Premiership to earn qualification into next seasons CAF Champions League.
