The Buccaneers have already signed goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi, central midfielder Siphelo Baloni, wide attacker Katlego Otladisa and wide forward Patrick Maswanganyi. Their focus is switching to the centre of defence. The next man on their wish list is Golden Arrows defender Sicelo Hlatshwayo, who could potentially provide extra depth for the Sea Robbers who currently have Sandile Mthethwa, Thapelo Xoki and Olisa Ndah in that position.

Hlatshwayo offer rejected?
Pirates made an offer to Arrows for Sicelo Hlatshwayo two weeks ago, but there has been no progress on that deal. Jose Riveiro’s side head to Spain for part of their pre-season preparations and are unlikely to get Hlatshwayo in before then with Arrows rebuffing their first proposal. Will they still get their man in the end?
