Speaking to Sowetan during the Player Transition Programme event this week, Mthethwa explains he can’t say Pirates coaches don’t like him, but he is waiting for his opportunity.

The KwaZulu-Natal-born defender, Mthethwa was 19 when he completed his move to Pirates in 2016 and has been loaned out to Chippa United and Richards Bay.

“Being patient is how I learnt football and that’s how football works. Patience is key,” says Pirates defender Mthethwa.
