After his arrival, new Orlando Pirates signing Lesedi Kapinga sends a message to the Bucs faithful that he will do the talking on the field of play.

Kapinga joined Pirates from Mamelodi Sundowns and his move was confirmed by the Soweto giants, Pirates on Tuesday morning.

In his first interview as a Buccaneer, Kapinga said he will fight for the black and white Pirates jersey and do the talking on the field of play.

Expressing delight after finally finding a new home following massive speculation on his future, Kapinga suggested that he will prove his critics wrong.

The 28-year-old midfielder, who recently became a free agent after leaving Sundowns, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Buccaneers.

“I am pleased to join the club,” said Kapinga. “I’m not much of a talker because talk is cheap.”

“All I’m focused on is to start training and working my way back to playing the game I love.”

The Limpopo-born utility player’s move to the reigning MTN8 and Nedbank Cup champions has been met with mixed reactions from many football fans.

Looking at his statistics at Chloorkop, he featured in 39 appearances in his three years at the club since joining from Black Leopards and follows Kermit Erasmus who left Sundowns for Pirates.
