A want-away Mamelodi Sundowns star could link up with former coach Pitso Mosimane at Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A want-away Mamelodi Sundowns star could link up with former coach Pitso Mosimane at Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to a report by UnplayableZA, Gaston Sirino could soon move to the UAE where Mosimane is in his first season with the club.

Mosimane has always been a big fan of Sirino, and in fact, this is not the first time he’d be attempting to sign him.

Three years, Mosimane tried to lure Sirino to Al Ahly in a proposed deal that caused a lot of stir between the two teams.

And now, Sirino has reportedly submitted a transfer request to the Sundowns management who are considering it.

The South American attacking midfielder is still contracted to Sundowns until June 2025, and whether or not they will easily release him remains to be seen.

However, with Sundowns having signed a few exciting attackers for the current campaign, Sirino could well bid farewell to his time with the club.

The 32-year-old is yet to feature for the Brazilians this season, but he has played 178 matches since his arrival at Chloorkop.

In those 178 matches, Sirino contributed 36 goals and 42 assists, and he has certainly cemented his legendary status at Sundowns.
