Mamelodi Sundowns receive R30 million offer for striker – report

Mamelodi Sundowns have received a R30 million offer from North American side Toronto FC for striker Cassius Mailula.

According to a report by SABC Sport, Toronto have already tabled the R30 million offer in order for them to sign Malilula.

And while the deal look set to be concluded soon, the publication reports that both Toronto and Sundowns have not agreed to anything.

However, with Sundowns having already released a statement confirming the negotiations, it could be a matter of time before the move is finalised.

Once the move is finalise, Mailula will join a growing list of South African players who are plying their trade in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

Bongokuhle Hlongwane and Njabulo Blom are some of the players who recently moved to the US while Olwethu Makhanya sealed his move to Philadelphia Union on Tuesday.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS RECEIVE R30 MILLION OFFER FOR MAILULA

“Major League Soccer [MLS] outfit Toronto FC have tabled a R30-million offer to sign striker Cassius Mailula from Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Following confirmation from Downs on Monday night that there was interest in the Bafana Bafana forward without sharing more details on the “North American” club chasing Mailula, SABC Sport revealed it is Toronto FC.”

“According to information gathered by the public broadcaster, there’s no official agreement in place between the two clubs just yet.”
