Lebogang Manyama completes hat-trick of Kaizer Chiefs’ releases

Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the departure of Lebogang Manyama after four seasons with Amakhosi.

Chiefs have not offered Manyama a new deal, and on the same day as they announced the departure of Samir Nurkovic, they dropped the notice on social media.

Arthur Zwane and his technical team in conjunction with the top brass at the club are out to decrease the average age of the squad.

“Lebogang Manyama will also be out of contract at the end of June and is free to find a new team,” the club’s social media team wrote.

“The attacking midfielder from Alexandra township joined Amakhosi in August 2018 from Turkish side Konyaspor and played 95 matches, scoring on 15 occasions. 

“All the best Lebo.”

Lazarous Kambole out the door at Kaizer Chiefs.

Moments earlier, Kaizer Chiefs announced the departure of Lazarous Kambole.

“Striker Lazarous Kambole is headed for new pastures after scoring two goals in his 46 appearances for the Glamour Boys. 

“We wish him well in the future.”

The Khosi nation also bids farewell to Nurkovic after three seasons with Kaizer Chiefs.

The club posted on Twitter: “Kaizer Chiefs will not extend Samir Nurković’s contract when it expires on 30 June 2022, ending a three-year relationship. The popular Serbian forward began his Chiefs career like a house on fire, scoring 14 goals in his maiden season.

“We wish Kokota all the best.”

It remains unclear what the future holds for Manyama and Kambole while Nurkovic has reportedly agreed to join Royal AM.

The departure of Kambole and Nurkovic opens up two foreign player slots in their squad for next season.

Kaizer Chiefs are expected to have a very busy transfer window, despite some setbacks in their early pursuits.
