Kapinga’s agent spills the beans

Moses Mudau, agent of the new Orlando Pirates number 21 Lesedi Kapinga, has opened up on why the 28-year-old made the switch to Pirates and not Chiefs after leaving Sundowns. Speaking to IOL, Mudau said:

“Kapinga still wants to win trophies, So we sat down and checked that Pirates will play in the Caf Champions League and they want to win the league next season. In addition, they have a strong squad that Kapinga can contribute to, and we have succeeded in his wish. Other teams offered good deals but we realised that Pirates are the ones who will help the player achieve what he wants.”

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs still active in the market

Kwame Peprah’s contract has been terminated, and as many as six players could still folow him out the club as they look to trim a bloated squad. Kaizer Chiefs, like Pirates, have made seven major signings this window and could be on the verge of an eighth. They’re reportedly in negotiations with Bafana bafana midfielder Thabo Cele.
