Kaizer Chiefs youngster raises hand yet again for first team contract!

Kaizer Chiefs youngster Mduduzi Tshabalala has again raised his hand for the management to not overlook him when dishing out first team contracts.

Kaizer Chiefs youngster Mduduzi Shabalala has again raised his hand for the management to not overlook him when dishing out first team contracts.

Shabalala was instrumental in Sunday’s DStv Diski Challenge match against Mamelodi Sundowns where Amakhosi won 4-3.

The young attacker scored twice with Keviano Francis and Wandile Duba netting the other two goals for Chiefs.

This was the second successive week that Chiefs had scored four goals in a single match, and the man of the moment was Shabalala.

For months now, Chiefs fans have been calling for the promotion of Shabalala to the first team, especially given the team’s struggles in front of goal.

However, with Stuart Baxter at the helm, chances of Shabalala getting promoted to the Chiefs first team appear very slim because of his preference for experienced players.

Chiefs may end up losing Shabalala to overseas clubs after reports emerged in January 2022 that the attacker is wanted for trials in Spain.

“His trip was postponed due to Covid-19 but they have written to us requesting that he vaccinates, and he has done that. What’s left is for them to tell us when he should come.
