Mamelodi Sundowns latest: Vilakazi in a ‘very good space’ at Chloorkop

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Sibusiso Vilakazi is in a very good space at the club despite no longer being a regular in the first team.

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Sibusiso Vilakazi is in a very good space at the club despite no longer being a regular in the first team.

Speaking to The Citizen, Vilakazi believes he has done enough in terms of his contribution to Sundowns so far this season.

Vila, as the former Bidvest Wits skipper is known, has made just 11 appearances across all competitions; the matches that came after his recovery from injury.

He is yet to find the back of the net or register an assist for Sundowns this season, which is unusual given the quality of a player he is.

Vilakazi said he’s always looking forward to training sessions at Sundowns, and what motivates him is because that’s his chance to try and impress the coaches.

VILAKAZI: I HAVE DONE VERY WELL FOR MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

“I am in a very good space in terms of contributing to the team whenever I am given a chance and I feel I have done very well,” said Vilakazi.

“I am always looking forward to every training session because that gives me an opportunity to participate.

“Overall, I am happy with what I have been given so far and I just need to continue and help the team succeed because that’s what matters most,” he added.
